PostSubject: Narcotics raid at 6137 Penn Ave S   Fri Mar 27, 2009 8:26 am

Neighbors, Yesterday around 11am Hennepin County Sheriff and possibly ATF raided the town home at 6137 Penn which is the closest townhome to Hwy 62 on the east side of Penn. Two men were arrested that we know and both are being held with out bail at the county jail downtown. Both men are being held for Controlled Substance Narcotics which means they were dealing drugs and possibly a lot if they have no bail. This is the type of stuff we don't want in our neighborhood and we need to be extra vigilant in watching out for this type of activity now that Spring is here.

Keep your eyes open around this location as well and report any suspicious activity to Amy Lavender our 5th Precinct Crime Prevention Specialist at 5th Precinct-Sector 3 3101 Nicollet Av. Minneapolis, MN 55408
(612) 673-5407 amy.lavender@ci.minneapolis.mn.us

We have dealt with this activity in the past and with the help of the police were able to shutdown previous drug and prostitution houses. Below is the booking info for the two men and I will try to track their progress through the system to see what happens. Feel free to let me know if you have any thoughts or concerns. Arrested:

There has been an update in the case I mentioned to you at our last neighborhood watch meeting regarding Troy McCaskill. He has been recently convicted and sentenced to prison for a variety of offenses which we discussed and are noted below.

Here are the details...

Sentenced to 78 months for the DWI and Drug offenses
Sentenced to 30 months for not registering as a predatory offender-

He now must register as a sex offender with the state.

He is credited with time served which totals 544 days.

This means he will be locked up and out of our neighborhood for 7.5 years!!
